“When I was 20 or 21 I was waiting tables, and I don’t remember how it came up, but I told a customer I wish I had a car, and she said she had a car that I could have. It wasn’t even an old beater or anything. She just gave me a car. I started crying and hugging her, and I’m crying thinking about it now >20 years later. I saw her around town a few times after that, and I went out of my way to do anything I could possibly do for her. It was life changing.”
