What's a blue heeler husband? 🤔
Plus, a "furry guardian angel."

Pic(s) of the Day
Twenty-three years ago, a little boy nearly died after swallowing an eraser. But he’s alive and well today because of the doctor who refused to give up on him. He finally got the chance to express his gratitude to his healthcare hero in a heartwarming reunion he shared online last week:
“This doctor saved my life when I was just 3 years old and we hadn’t seen him since. Today we finally got to reconnect and he had this photo of us on his desk for the last 23 years.”
“It’s a very long story but the short form of it is that I had choked on an eraser thinking it was candy, and had full blockage of my trachea,” he explained.
“Other doctors tried to get the obstruction out but had no luck. They basically gave up and assumed it had been too long and I was going to die from lack of oxygen. Doctor in photo, had one last idea and refused to give up. Was able to use some other type of tube (I can’t remember what it was called) but it was usually used for another type of procedure. He was able to get down my throat and find the obstruction, and then push it down farther to get it past the right split in my trachea above the lung. Thus opening up my left lung to oxygen which gave me enough time to be emergency transported to a hospital that had the correct equipment to go in with a camera on a tube with a hook and get the obstruction out.”
We can only imagine how much it meant to this doctor to see his patient all grown up. He’s the reason this young man is here, after all! 👏
