Taco Bell heist 🤭
Plus, the perfect savory cake.

Good morning! Question: Do you like your treats sweet or savory? This baker’s friend favors the latter — so much so that she’d even turn a sweet birthday cake down. So, never one to turn down a challenge, her baker buddy got to work planning the perfect savory cake. And boy, does it look tasty! 😋

Today’s Inspiration 🌸
Act of Kindness
Today’s story of kindness comes from Redditor Peaches4U9624:
“I just had to brag on my 8-year-old daughter for what she did today for another person. We were out running errands all morning and we stopped at Wawa to grab a couple things and gas, and on the way out, we saw at the same time a man sitting on the curb with a sign that says ‘please help I’m broke.’ She looks at me and she says, ‘oh my God Mom we have to help him.’
So I told her because I was on my way across the street to Chick-fil-A, and we had the left turn signal so I couldn’t just stop in the middle of the road, ‘when we get to Chick-fil-A I’ll see how much cash I have,’ and she says ‘I want to give him my allowance Mom I have $20.’ I asked her if she was sure and told her I would get some change when I went in to pay for my food so in case you wanted to only give him 10 or something we would have the proper amount.
I went into Chick-fil-A ask for change for the 20 and told the cashier that I needed it for my daughter to give this man that needs help some of her allowance, and I went to use my card to pay, and he says, ‘don't worry about it I got this you're doing a good deed so I should as well.’
I was so touched by that that it gave me goosebumps. So I asked him his name, he was the manager, Jordan, and I told him I would send Chick-fil-A an email saying how touched I was by what he did, and I did that as soon as I got home.
I got back in the car, I gave her the change, and then I realized I should have got the man some food, so I went to the Wendy’s next door, got a burger and a bottle of water, and we proceeded to go back to Wawa. We parked, and my daughter says ‘I want to give it to him Mom’ (she's 8 mind you). I said, ‘okay, but I'm going to come with you.’
She goes over to the man, I’m right behind her, gives him all $20 of her allowance, a Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter (which she is obsessed with) figurine she had, the burger and the water and says ‘I hope this makes your day better.’ I could not have been prouder and in awe of anyone more than I had been with her at that moment. The empathy and compassion and at 8 years old on this child is just awe-inspiring!”

You should be proud, Mom! Your little girl has such a sweet soul. And how awesome is it that she inspired even more generosity at Chick-fil-A?
