Two parents had the sweetest experience picking up their daughter’s birthday cake, and couldn’t help but share a snapshot of it online:

“Someone paid for our daughter’s birthday cake today in memory of their mother.

It is our daughter’s 5th birthday, so when we went to pick up the cake at Publix they said it was paid for and someone left a card. Reading it made us tear up, such a sweet way to remember someone and bless someone else. Happy Birthday Mimama, the kids at our daughter’s party loved your cake!”

The card reads,

“Happy Birthday! You share a birthday with my mom who would have been 75 today. It’s her second birthday in heaven and to honor and celebrate her I try to share some love the way she did. She loved the Lord and she loved people so to celebrate her I celebrate you today. I pray all your birthday wishes come true. With love. In honor of Mimama.”

What a beautiful way for this stranger to keep their mother’s memory (and kindness) alive. Even better? They inspired the little girl’s grandma to pay it forward!

“After my mom saw the note she said she wants to do the same on my grandmother’s birthday since she was always making cakes for kids’ birthdays,” her parent wrote.
