Act of Kindness
Today’s story of kindness was submitted by InspireMore reader Dodi L.:
“Yesterday I went to Brake & Tire Check for an oil change. I always pay by debit card, but recently I had to change my pin number on the card and unfortunately I couldn’t remember it at check out time. Because of the company’s cashless policy, I had no other way to pay. I was a bit fussy that I couldn’t pay by cash or check and I couldn’t find my other credit card, which turned out to be at home.
The manager told me not to worry about it, and he used his own credit card to pay my bill. While he was doing that, another gentleman who was waiting for his car to be repaired, joined us at checkout, offering his own credit card to pay the bill. After digging through all my hiding places, I finally found enough cash to reimburse such generosity, but I was told that God loves me and not to refuse this blessing. I’m amazed and grateful.”
And just like that, a stressful moment turned into a heartwarming reminder that many people, even strangers, are happy to help. 👏
