Today’s story of kindness comes from user we_gon_ride on Reddit:

“I’m a 7th grade teacher and I used to hold a weekly drawing for prizes in my classroom.

I pulled a young man’s ticket and he picked a stuffed teddy bear and took it over to a girl in the class and said “this isn’t romantic or anything. I noticed you’re having a hard time lately and I wanted you to know someone cared.”

The girl’s mom had been recently diagnosed with breast cancer and my student was a basket case but trying so hard to be brave.

It took everything in my power not to cry.

This young man graduated from HS last year and he’s still an amazing human! Young woman’s mom beat breast cancer and has been in full remission for 3 years.”

This young man gets an A+ in compassion. 👏
