Today’s story of kindness was submitted by InspireMore reader Barbara R.:

“This was back in 2015. I had been in the hospital and then rehab from February to the middle of June. All the medications I had been given has made my stomach very queasy. I had a hard time wanting to eat anything but soup. One morning, though, I was very hungry for a jelly-filled doughnut. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the money to get even a doughnut. I prayed for a jelly-filled doughnut.

About a half hour later, a very good friend of ours drove into the driveway and my hubby went out to talk to her. She handed him a box of 6 jelly-filled doughnuts and said she didn’t know why she bought them because she really didn’t want them. I cried because it was an answer to prayer.”

Crazy coincidence? We dough-not know, but either way, this gesture couldn’t be sweeter! 😉
