Today’s story of kindness was submitted by InspireMore reader Dale D.:

“A few years ago I was on my way to visit my grandson who lived in Southern Long Island. It was getting late as I was driving from Vt. So I decided to stop at a local restaurant on the North fork. I was shown a table on their patio. There was only one other diner, a young woman with her pet dog. I gave the waitress my order, then approached the women to get a closer look at her dog. I mentioned I had a small dog also and we exchanged pleasantries. I returned to my table as my meal arrived. Shortly after, the women left and we waved our goodbyes.

When I asked for my bill, the waitress said it was already paid. I was so taken back. I said I would pay the tip and was told it was also taken care of. No one knew who the woman was, and to this day I wish I could thank her. I cannot get over her kindness… I have passed the kindness on and I wish the young woman many sincere blessings.”

We have a feeling that this exchange meant as much to the young woman as her generosity did to you, Dale. 😊
