“I started volunteering at my local food bank and needed an appointment for a monthly hamper but missed it as the weather was bad, so I called and canceled. A week later after my shift I had another appointment and one of the case managers, Tina, helped me and took all my personal information. We had a very nice and heartwarming conversation about volunteering and the struggles with pain we both face each and every day. It was nice to know or find out I am not the only one with pains of all kinds working there, and I can reach out to talk with her anytime she isn’t busy with clients. Big smile and hugs to Tina.”
