“In the 5th grade, I had my first male teacher. I even remember at my age he seemed young. He taught a row of 6th graders, and the rest of us were 5th grade, so he was busy! We had made tissue paper flowers for Mother’s Day, and were to bring them home Friday, but I was sick at home that day. He brought that flower to our house, so I could give my mom a Mother’s Day present I made… on Mother’s Day! I am 77, and still remember that teacher…and his name.“
