“When I was in the third grade, I gave my pencil to my classmate. I didn’t even have another one. About twenty-five years later, I was working at women’s hospital. I could hear Jeffrey, my former classmate, call my name. I couldn’t believe he remembered me after all those years. He stated, ‘He never forgot me for giving him my only pencil in third grade!’ Finally, I realized his wife was in labor, so I thanked him and told him he made my day!”

This is a great reminder that kindness sticks, even decades later!
