Act of Kindness

Today’s story of kindness was submitted by InspireMore reader Beth B.:

“My husband was a motorized wheelchair user. We were traveling to see his parents with our 6-month-old son. After driving several hours, we decided to stop for a break because our son needed a major diaper change. My husband took the next exit and pulled over into a small pullout; it was deserted, with no services or people around.

I began changing our son while my husband got out of the van. He rode the wheelchair lift down and when he drove off the lift he hit sand and he and his chair fell over into the sand. I was panicking because I just got the dirty diaper off and also was not strong enough to pick up the chair with my husband in it. I picked up my son and was getting out of the van when a couple appeared out of nowhere. She took my son into the van and finished changing him while I helped him get my husband up and back on to the lift. I was so thankful that these angels appeared just when we needed them, helped us, and went on their way. I often marvel at the kindness of these lovely strangers.”

Speaking of guardian angels… What a perfect moment for some drive-by kindness!
